THE MEALS

Q) HOW DO THE MEALS COME?

Our dishes come frozen, with our aim to have your freezer stocked with dinners for your week/s ahead.

Some of our dishes (such as our lasagnes and cannelloni) come fully prepared but uncooked. These can be transferred straight from freezer to oven – prime for those extra hectic, late-decision kind of nights.

The rest of our meals are fully cooked – defrost naturally the night before, reheat in your microwave, on the stove or in the oven, and you’re good to go!

All our dishes come with a nutritional panel, ingredients, and heating instructions on the label.

Q) HOW DO I DEFROST MY MEALS?

As per the instructions on the label, we recommend taking your meal out of your freezer and placing it in your fridge 24-48 hours before intended consumption to allow it to defrost naturally.

If you choose instead to use the defrost setting on your microwave to consume your meal straight from frozen, know that we can’t quite vouch for this method in ensuring your dinners retain their utmost quality.


Q) HOW LONG WILL MY MEALS LAST?

All meals come with a freezer-relevant best before date. Each has a shelf life of 2-6 months in the freezer.

From the time they are placed in the fridge to defrost, they should be consumed within 3-4 days.

Note that meat dishes should not be reheated more than once after they have first been cooked.


Q) DO YOU HAVE VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN OPTIONS? WHAT ABOUT MEALS WITHOUT GLUTEN OR DAIRY?

You bet. Head to the ‘Order Now’ page and select the categories on the left hand side of the page to filter our options according to your needs and preferences.

Please note that while some of our recipes do not use gluten, dairy, or nuts (labelled “Recipe free from…” on our Order Now page), all of our meals are prepared in the same facility. As such, even though we cook these items using dedicated kitchen utensils, we cannot guarantee that any of our meals are 100% free from traces of gluten, dairy, nuts, or any other common allergen.


Q) ARE THERE ANY PRESERVATIVES OR ARTIFICIAL FLAVOURS IN THE MEALS?

We do not add any preservatives, flavours, colours, enhancers, or stabilisers in our kitchen, except for our use of a few ready-made Asian ingredients unavoidable in specific dishes.

Q) CAN YOU CUSTOMISE A DISH FOR ME WITHOUT A CERTAIN INGREDIENT?

Unfortunately not.

Q) WHERE ARE THE MEALS PREPARED?

Locally in Geelong at a registered food premises.

Q) WILL I RECEIVE EXACTLY WHAT IS SHOWN IN THE IMAGES?

We portion our meals according to weight, which means the quantity may differ from images on our website and social media.

In some images we also display the suggested accompaniment which is typically not sold with the meal. 

 

ORDERING

Q) HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE BETWEEN ORDERING AND DELIVERY?

Two days' notice allows us to get your order fully organised:

For Monday evening delivery, place your order by the end of the Saturday prior.
For Wednesday evening delivery, place your order by the end of the Monday prior.


Q) HOW DO I ORDER?

Add your items of choice with selected sizes to your cart via the 'Order Now' page. Easy as pie!



Q) IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?

Yes, it's only $50.

Q) DO I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE OR SIGN A CONTRACT?

We have no lock-in contracts, so trial us and order again if and whenever you wish!

You don’t have to subscribe to our mailing list, although doing so will keep you in the loop once or twice a month on our new items, current specials, and other exciting things. Pop your email address in the box on our home page to join.

Q) IS THERE A DISCOUNT THE MORE I ORDER?

You’ll notice that ordering a large size in a particular dish gives you a discounted rate per serving. There is also free delivery on all orders over $200. 


DELIVERY

Q) WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

We currently deliver to Geelong and surrounding suburbs, including Torquay, Jan Juc, Moriac, Lara, Leopold, Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove.

If your address for delivery is more than 15 minutes outside of Geelong CBD and your suburb is not listed above, please give us a buzz before placing your order.

Q) CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE INSTEAD?

At present, due to council permit reasons our service operates on a delivery basis only.

Q) WHEN DO YOU DELIVER?

We deliver twice a week – on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 5-9pm – with our aim to have your freezer stocked with meals for your week or month ahead.

After ordering, you’ll receive an automated email or text message confirming your order and delivery date.


Q) HOW MUCH IS DELIVERY?

  • Delivery for any order over $200 = FREE
  • Delivery for any order under $200 = $5


Q) WHAT DOES MY ORDER COME DELIVERED IN?

We bring your items in a cooler bag for transfer straight to your freezer or fridge. Less hassle, less waste.

If you’re stepping out or simply have your hands a tad full to answer the door, feel free to leave out an esky or cooler bag for us to drop your meals straight into.

We are currently in the process of arranging a new system featuring eco-friendly boxes to leave at your doorstep. Keep a look out for these in the coming months!

Q) DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN MY ORDER IS DELIVERED?

No - we can deliver without you being home (or even if you are home but are a tad busy to answer the door!) provided you leave out an esky or cooler bag/s on your front doorstep for us to pop your items in. As long as you or someone in your household is home to get those goodies into your fridge or freezer within 1-2 hours of our drop.

Q) HOW DO I PAY?

Our online system allows you to pay via card. There is also an option to pay
 cash upon delivery instead.


Q) CAN YOU CATER FOR MY UPCOMING EVENT?

While we don't do specialized catering, we have had numerous customers order our meals to serve for guests at a dinner party or on a retreat. If you'd like to use our service for this purpose, we ask you to place an order via our website as per a standard order as we currently only have capacity to offer you the dishes in stock online.
